Riccardo Sturla Avogadri signed poster + free shark signal poster (total 2 posters!)

Limited edition Riccardo Sturla Avogadri signed poster with a free shark signal poster included! When you are diving, or swimming on the surface, you have the sensation of hearing them, but you do not see them... although you know that sharks are there and can arrive silently without warning, fast and by surprise. That day, under water, the scuba diver who had his back turned did not notice, but his companion saw it clearly, it was a three-metre nurse shark from the Atlantic Ocean (Ginglymostoma cirratum), a species considered “tranquil” and harmless, and the scuba diver had recognized it and was trying to tell his companion, but did not know how to.  Meanwhile, behind the diver’s back, the water was foaming irregularly, and it was not the waves, the shark was already behind him and when the diver turned round, having thought it to be too late, he had believed it was a dangerous shark and he was so frightened he lost the mouth piece, and was drowned. If his companion had been able to give him the conventional signal of the nurse shark (which now exists), that diver would still be alive! Instead now, all the scuba divers, from those who do fishing activities (high seas commercial fishing) to the simple enthusiasts, no longer take this risk. As a matter of fact, finally, the identification signals were created  to “communicate”, with a simple gesture, the most common shark species: from the blue shark (Prionace glauca) to the shortfin mako  (Isurus oxyrinchus),  to the white shark (Carcharodon carcharias)  to the  Leucas or Zambezi shark (Carcharhinus leucas). Some signals identify the singular species (10), others a family (9) and also the genus (1) as in the case of the Mako sharks. Scuba divers and others can now communicate from one to the other, under water, out of water and even from a boat, with the various signals created by Riccardo Sturla Avogadri which he presented on the 13 March 2005 at the Eudi Show in Genova. info@sharkacademy.com
