Shark Shield by Ocean Guardian tested from Shark Academy Onlus
New 2022 product. New lightweight design makes it comfortable to wear and the long-life battery provides you with confidence in the water for up to 6 hours at a time, with a LED battery life indicator (C version with Lithium rechargeable battery, over 1000 charge cycles). The unit repel sharks and sting-ray and have a depth rated to 50 meters (164 feet). It does not effect or repel fish, crocodiles, dolphins, whales or fresh water creatures. This unit have a 1 year warranty. Shark Academy Onlus start to test the technology in 1996 working with the Natal Sharks Board at dyer Island (South Africa) and Freeport (Bahamas) and became the European promoter for the previous model called "Shark POD". Then the Technology was sold to Australia "Sea Change" Company and develop different types of models. Shark Academy Onlus became the test dive unit for Italy in 2006. The Freedom7 was tested inside the shark expo with different species of sharks and we test in the sea as well. The Shark Shields are now part of our shark diving standards and normal procedure.
